Finally, after a long wait, Apple has launched iPhone 12 series on the night of 13th of October 2020 which comes with some great new upgrades and features. In the iPhone 12 series, people will get options amongst 4 variants – iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The all-new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini-features aluminum frame and have a glass at both front and back. iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini feature a 6.1-inch and a 5.4-inch Super Retina OLED display respectively. However, what may give people a sign of relief is that on both the phones the screen comes with a layer of a ceramic shield that will provide up to 4x drop resistance.

Coming to the camera for these phones, both of them feature a dual-camera setup with a 12MP f/1.6 wide and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Talking about the front camera on these two devices, there is a 12MP TrueDepth camera. Apple has made a bunch of improvements in the iPhone 12 camera and is also bringing Night mode to the ultra-wide camera, not in just the back camera setup but also in the front camera.

Coming to the big guns, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max features a 6.1-inch and a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display respectively. Both the variants of iPhone 12 Pro models feature a stainless steel frame with a glass at the back. The screen, just like the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, comes with a layer of ceramic shield for drop protection.
Talking about the camera both iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max has a major upgrade as the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max camera features three lenses and a LiDAR sensor. They come equipped with a 12MP f/1.6 wide lens with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP f/2.0 telephoto lens with OIS which has the capability of 4x optical zoom range.
Having said this, in the iPhone 12 Pro Max has the same camera setup, except that the 12MP f/1.6 wide lens has a larger sensor and it also comes with a sensor-shift technology. The 12MP f/2.2 telephoto lens has a 5x optical zoom range in iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The powerful this about iPhone 12 series is that all 4 variants come equipped with the all new Apple A14 Bionic chip which is the fastest processor on any iPhone till date. The new processor is based on a 5nm architecture which is the first in the industry and packs 11.8 billion transistors for increased performance and power efficiency of up to 80% faster Neural Engine.
The all new iPhone 12 models will feature support for the MagSafe charging. The MagSafe chargers provide up to 15W of power while still accommodating existing Qi-enabled devices. The charging solutions include the MagSafe Charger and MagSafe Duo Charger for use with iPhone and Apple Watch, as well as new silicone, leather, and clear cases that easily snap onto the back of iPhone, and a leather wallet.

All the 4 variants of iPhone 12 – iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max – comes with industry-standard iP68 certification for dust and water resistance up to 6 metres for 30 minutes.

Coming to the pricing of Apple iPhone 12, the entry-level iPhone 12 mini price starts at Rs 69,900 for the 64GB model and the price of iPhone 12 mini with 128GB and 256GB internal memory is set at Rs 74,900 and Rs 84,900 respectively.
iPhone 12 starts at Rs 79,900 for the 64GB model. While the price of the iPhone 12 with 128GB and 256GB internal memory is set at Rs 84,900 and Rs 94,900, respectively.
iPhone 12 will be available to the customers from 30th October while the iPhone 12 mini will be made available to the customers starting November 13th.
Coming to the big guns, the iPhone 12 Pro price starts at Rs 1,19,900 for the 128GB model. The 256GB and 512GB iPhone 12 Pro variants have been launched in India for Rs 1,29,900 and Rs 1,49,900 respectively.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max, however, will be priced in India at Rs 1,29,900 for the 128GB model while the 256GB and 512GB iPhone 12 Pro Max variants have been launched in India for Rs 1,39,900 and Rs 1,59,900 respectively.
Though iPhone 12 Pro will go on sale same as iPhone 12 i.e. 30th of October, the biggest variant of iPhone 12 line-up – iPhone 12 Pro Max – will be made available starting November 13th, same as iPhone 12 mini.
